Emergency Disclaimer
The She Haven Fitness portal is not a substitute for emergency medical services
Last updated: September 2026
1. Not a Substitute for Emergency Services
The She Haven Fitness client portal, its trainers, and its staff are not a substitute for emergency medical services. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately or go to the nearest emergency room.
The portal should not be used to communicate urgent or emergency medical situations to your trainer. Trainers may not see your messages immediately and are not equipped to provide emergency medical assistance.
2. When to Call 911
Call 911 or seek immediate emergency medical care if you or someone else experiences:
- Chest pain, pressure, or tightness that does not go away
- Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath at rest
- Fainting, loss of consciousness, or seizure
- Sudden numbness, weakness, or paralysis (especially on one side of the body)
- Sudden confusion, trouble speaking, or trouble understanding speech
- Sudden severe headache with no known cause
- Severe abdominal pain
- Uncontrolled bleeding
- Suicidal thoughts or thoughts of self-harm — call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline)
- Any other symptom that feels life-threatening
3. Severe Symptom Protocol in Check-Ins
Our weekly check-in form includes health-related questions. If you report severe symptoms or medical concerns, the system will display a prominent emergency disclaimer directing you to seek immediate medical attention. This includes:
- Reporting severe pain during exercise
- Reporting chest pain, dizziness, or fainting
- Reporting significant health changes that may require medical attention
When severe symptoms are reported, your trainer will be alerted to follow up, but this follow-up is not a substitute for professional medical evaluation.
4. Trainer Response Times
Trainers are not on call 24/7. Response times to check-ins, messages, and notifications vary based on the trainer's schedule. The portal is designed for asynchronous communication, not real-time emergency response.
If you need immediate assistance, do not wait for a trainer response — contact emergency services directly.
5. Medical Emergency Contacts
We recommend that all clients maintain an up-to-date emergency contact. If you have a medical emergency during a training session, your trainer may contact your emergency contact and/or emergency services on your behalf.
To update your emergency contact information, contact hello@shehavenfitness.com.
6. Crisis Resources
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis:
- 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: Call or text 988, available 24/7
- Crisis Text Line: Text HOME to 741741
- Emergency Services: Call 911
She Haven Fitness trainers are not mental health professionals. If you are struggling with your mental health, please reach out to a licensed mental health provider or one of the crisis resources above.
7. Exercise-Related Emergencies
If you experience any of the following during or after exercise, stop immediately and seek medical attention:
- Chest pain or pressure
- Severe shortness of breath
- Dizziness or fainting
- Nausea or vomiting
- Sudden sharp pain
- Irregular heartbeat
- Extreme fatigue or weakness
Do not attempt to "push through" these symptoms. Stop all physical activity and seek help.
8. Limitations
She Haven Fitness, its trainers, and its staff are not liable for any delays in communication, failure to respond to check-in submissions, or outcomes resulting from reliance on the portal rather than seeking professional medical care. The portal is a fitness coaching tool, not a medical monitoring or emergency response system.
9. Contact Us
For non-emergency questions about this disclaimer, contact hello@shehavenfitness.com. For emergencies, always call 911 first.
